Minimum Stay lets you require a minimum number of nights to check in on a given date — for example, a 2-night minimum on weekends or a 3-night minimum over a holiday. You set the rules in DIAMO; DIAMO applies them and keeps them synced with your connected PMS.
You can set minimum stay at four levels — a property-wide default, per season, per event, and per specific date — and DIAMO combines them into a single effective minimum for each date.
🛠 Applies to all room types. Minimum stay is set at the property level — the same minimum is applied to every connected room type. There are no per-room-type minimums.
📍 Availability depends on your PMS. If your connected PMS doesn't support minimum-stay management, the Restrictions tab won't appear.
1. Turn on Restriction Management
- Go to Preferences → Restrictions.
- Turn on the Minimum Stay toggle.
2. Set your property default minimum stay
Your property default is the baseline that applies to every date unless a season, event, or specific-date rule overrides it. Choose how to set it:
- Weekdays / Weekends — one value for weekdays, one for weekends.
- Day of Week — a separate value for each day (Sun–Sat).
⚠️ You must fill in every value to save. In Weekdays/Weekends mode both fields are required; in Day of Week mode all seven days need a value. Then click Save Minimum Stay.
3. Minimum stay for Seasons & Events
You can set a different minimum stay for a season or a special event — for example, a higher minimum during peak season or over a holiday weekend.
- Open the season or event in Preferences → Pricing.
- Go to the Advanced Settings tab.
- Set the minimum stay (same Weekdays/Weekends or Day of Week options).
🔒 If the minimum-stay section is greyed out, enable the Default Minimum Stay toggle in the Restrictions tab first — there's a link in the message to take you there.
Leave a field blank to inherit the value from the level below it.
4. Override a specific date (Calendar)
To set a minimum for specific dates, use a Restriction Override from the pricing calendar side panel:
- Daily — set the minimum for a single date.
- Bulk Edit — set it across a date range, and optionally limit it to certain days of the week.

⚠️ If you set a long minimum (7+ nights), DIAMO asks you to confirm and shows how many dates it affects, since long minimums can limit bookings.
⭐ Overrides sync instantly. Adding or removing a calendar override pushes to your PMS right away — both the price and the minimum stay for that date.
5. How the effective minimum is decided
When more than one rule applies to a date, DIAMO uses this order — highest priority first:
Calendar Override > Event > Season > Property default
A specific-date override always wins; if there's no override, an event applies; then a season; and if none of those set a value, your property default is used.
6. See the effective minimum on the calendar
Each date on the pricing calendar shows a small badge — e.g. 2N, 3N — with the effective minimum stay for that date.
Hover a date to see where the value comes from. The label in brackets tells you which level set it — Default, Season, Event, or Override.
⚠️ When changes appear. Updates to your property default, seasons, or events can take up to an hour to show on the calendar, as they're applied during the next price refresh. Calendar overrides for specific dates appear right away.
7. Change or remove a minimum stay
- A specific-date override — open the override and use Reset Min-Stay Override. The date falls back to the next level (event, season, or default).
- A season or event minimum —use 'Reset to Default' on the season or event. This removes the minimum at that level and the date falls back to next rule that applies: clearing an event falls back to its season (if the season sets a minimum) or otherwise to property default; clearing a season falls back to property default.
- To remove a minimum everywhere — set the value to 1 night (equivalent to no minimum) and save.
8. Turning off restrictions
When you turn a restriction (or master switch) off, DIAMO stops managing that restriction — but it does not remove values already sent to your PMS. The last values DIAMO sent stay in place.
⚠️ To actually remove a restriction, lower it (e.g. to 1 night) before turning it off, or change it directly in your PMS. DIAMO shows a confirmation prompt explaining this.
