Pickup Report

Pickup

Pickup is what you actually put on the books: bookings made minus bookings cancelled, for any window and any as-of date.

Think of it as production. Not what you have, what you added.

Setting the window

Two controls define it:

  • Pickup window: how long a span you're measuring. Current Day, 7, 14, 28, 60, 90 days, or a custom range.
  • As of: the day that span ends.

A preset covers the selected days ending on your as-of date, including that day. So 7d as of Jul 14 means Jul 8 to 14. Pick a custom range instead and it sets the as-of for you.

Stay dates don't limit anything here. Pickup counts every booking created in the window, whatever nights it's for.

The numbers

Pickup Summary: rooms and revenue picked up, the ADR of that pickup, and rooms on the books as of your date.

The chart: pickup by stay day, week, or month. The grey bars behind it are the same window last year.

Pickup by property: the detail. Revenue, rooms, ADR, and occupancy, each split into what's on the books and what was picked up. Open a property to see months, open a month to see days.

Why last year looks a day off

I shift last year by 364 days instead of 365, so a Saturday lands on a Saturday. Your weekend and weekday patterns line up instead of drifting by one.

When pickup goes negative

Cancellations can outrun new bookings. When they do, the bar drops below zero and turns pink.

One thing to watch: the ADR on a negative bucket. Negative revenue divided by negative rooms gives you a rate that looks perfectly normal and means nothing. Skip it and read the rooms and revenue instead.
