Follow this guide to connect your Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud property to DIAMO. Because OPERA Cloud uses an approval-based connection, there are a few items to set up on your side before connecting. Please read the Before You Start section carefully.
Before You Start
Complete these checks before you begin.
1. Confirm your environment is OCIM (not legacy SSD)
DIAMO connects to properties running on Oracle's OCIM (Oracle Cloud Identity Manager) environment. It does not support the legacy SSD (Shared Security Domain) environment. To check, look at your OPERA Cloud PMS URL (not the OHIP URL):
- If the URL contains "OPERA9", you are on SSD.
- If the URL contains a code such as
OCR4ENTand does not contain "OPERA9", you are on OCIM.
Note: Customers cannot choose their Identity Manager — Oracle is migrating all environments to OCIM on a defined timeline. If you are still on SSD, please confirm your transition date with your Oracle representative before proceeding.
2. Confirm your license
Make sure your property has an active OPERA Cloud Foundation license, which is required for API access.
3. Gather what you'll need
To start onboarding, share these with your DIAMO Revenue Manager:
- Enterprise ID
- Chain Code
- Hotel ID
- Region
You'll create your External ID in Step 1. Your DIAMO Revenue Manager will provide your Base URL, Client ID, Client Secret, and Scope once your property's environment is set up (Step 2).
4. Check your rate plan
DIAMO prices at the room-type level using your BAR rate plan. Make sure a BAR rate plan is created and mapped to every room type you want DIAMO to price. If you don't have one, create it; if you do, confirm it's mapped to the correct room types.
Step 1: Create an External System in OPERA Cloud (to get your External ID)
- From the Administration menu, select Interfaces → Business Events → External Systems.
- Click New and enter the following:
- Property: Select your property.
- Code:
DIAMOEXT - Description:
DIAMO - Sequence: The position in which this external system appears in the list.
- Leave other options at their defaults unless advised otherwise by your DIAMO Revenue Manager.
- Click Activate, then click Save.
Do not use reserved or generic names (e.g., OPERA, OHIP, Hospitality, Interface, Integration) for the External System Code.
Once saved, share your External ID with your DIAMO Revenue Manager along with the details from Before You Start.
Step 2: Onboard and approve DIAMO's access
After you share your Enterprise ID, Chain Code, Region, and Hotel ID, DIAMO submits an onboarding request in the Oracle Partner Portal. Then:
- You'll receive an email notification from Oracle about a pending request.
- Log in to the Customer Developer Portal to review the request.
- During approval, select the specific hotels you want to grant DIAMO API access to.
- Approve the request. Once approved, DIAMO can retrieve your Base URL, Client ID, Client Secret, and Scope, which your Revenue Manager will share with you for the next step.
Step 3: Connect OPERA Cloud in DIAMO
- Obtain your DIAMO onboarding link from your DIAMO Revenue Manager, then create your account and log in to DIAMO.
- Go to Account Settings → Connect PMS. Make sure Oracle Opera is selected as your PMS (use Change if you need to select it).
- Enter the following fields:
- Hotel ID (e.g.,
SAND01) - Base URL — provided by your DIAMO Revenue Manager
- External ID — the one you created in Step 1
- Enterprise ID
- Scope — provided by your DIAMO Revenue Manager
- Client ID — provided by your DIAMO Revenue Manager
- Client Secret — provided by your DIAMO Revenue Manager
- Hotel ID (e.g.,
- Click Connect to Oracle.
- Once connected, your OPERA Cloud room types will appear in your DIAMO dashboard.
