Competitors

Competitors

What your comp set is charging for upcoming dates, and how they repriced a single date.

Your price only means something next to the alternatives a guest is comparing it against. This report shows your comp set's rates with yours beside them. It's the same shop data the engine reads when it prices.

Two things to know before you read anything here:

  • Every rate is a competitor's lowest available rate for a one-night stay.
  • Comp sets are per property and don't blend. Select several properties and you get a row of property pills, so you read one at a time.

Future Rates

The current shop across upcoming stay dates. Comp Set Summary gives you your comp set size, your average rate, the set's average, and your rank. 1st is the most expensive.

  • Channel pills switch between Best Available, Booking.com, Expedia, and your Booking Engine.
  • The competitor picker starts with the three most relevant. The percentage beside each name is that competitor's influence weight in the pricing engine, so the default three are the ones your prices actually respond to.
  • Comp set detail lists each competitor's average, minimum, and maximum, how far it sits from your average, and Rate Availability.

*Rate Availability represents the share of days where each competitor has public rates available.

Rate History

One stay date, tracked backwards. The x-axis is days before arrival, counting down, so you can watch who cut and who held as the date got closer.

Step through dates with the arrows, or pick one from the calendar on the card title.
