Connecting Your ThinkReservations Account to DIAMO

Before you start:

Please log in to your ThinkReservations account first in same browser before clicking Connect to ThinkReservations. If you are not already logged in, ThinkReservations may redirect you to the dashboard instead of the authorization screen.

⚠️ Important — Occupancy-based pricing is not supported

Before onboarding, confirm that you do NOT use occupancy-based pricing. Due to API limitations, for a property using occupancy-based pricing, that setting would be cleared on first push and the rate would stop being offered entirely (not just show a wrong price). To protect against this, the onboarding flow includes a confirmation step on the "Select your property" screen:

  • "Confirm this property does NOT use occupancy-based pricing in ThinkReservations."
  • Selecting Yes allows the connection to proceed.
  • Selecting No blocks onboarding and shows: "Properties that use occupancy-based pricing in ThinkReservations can't be connected. If you're not sure whether this property uses occupancy-based pricing, please check with ThinkReservations support before connecting."

If you are unsure whether you use occupancy-based pricing, please verify with ThinkReservations support before connecting.

Step 1: Onboarding in DIAMO:

  • Obtain RMMS Onboarding link by contacting your DIAMO Revenue Manager. Once you receive the link, create your account and log in to DIAMO.
  • After login in, navigate to Account Settings >> 'Connect PMS' tab. Search for 'ThinkReservations'.

  • Click on ‘Connect to ThinkReservations’.

  • You will be taken to ThinkReservations where you will be directed to grant the necessary permissions. Click 'Accept'.

  • Once completed, you will be redirected back to the onboarding page, and will be asked to select the property to be connected from the dropdown. Select the property.
  • Confirm if you use 'Occupancy base pricing or not'.

  • Click on 'Connect'
  • Once done, all room types for the property will appear in your DIAMO account.

Step 2: RateType configuration

  • Once your ThinkReservations account has been successfully connected, remain on the Connect PMS tab to configure the RateType that DIAMO will manage.
  • Under RateType Configuration, select the desired option: either “Same RateType for all Room Types” or “Different RateType by Room Type"

  • If “Same ratetype for all Room Types” is selected, choose the RateType from the dropdown and click “Save Configuration” This will enable DIAMO to push prices for this RateType across all room types.

  • If “Different RateType by RoomType” is selected, you will be presented with a list of all room types, each with a RateType dropdown. Select the appropriate RateType for each room type and click “Save Configuration”

  • You can update the RateType configuration at any time by selecting the “Change Configuration” option.

Step 3: Managing Minimum Stay from DIAMO

You can manage minimum stay for your ThinkReservations property directly in DIAMO — set it once and DIAMO keeps it synced to ThinkReservations along with your prices.

  • Go to Preferences → Restrictions and turn on Minimum Stay.
  • Choose how minimum stay is applied: on arrival or stay-through. ThinkReservations supports both interpretations, so DIAMO lets you pick one in your Minimum Stay default settings:
    • On arrival: the minimum is checked against the guest's check-in day.
    • Stay-through: the minimum must be met across every night a stay covers a restricted date.

Choose the option that matches how you want ThinkReservations to enforce it — DIAMO pushes the minimum using that type. The number of nights means the same either way; this only controls how it's evaluated.

  • Set your property default (by Weekday/Weekend or by Day of Week) — a complete default is required before you can save.
  • You can then layer minimums by Season, Event, and per-date Calendar Override;

  • DIAMO combines them into one effective minimum per date (Override › Event › Season › Default).

How it syncs to ThinkReservations

  • Minimum stay is sent together with your prices on DIAMO's regular sync — no separate step and no extra wait. Changes reach ThinkReservations at the same cadence as your pricing.
  • It applies to all room types and rate plans DIAMO manages — the same minimum across them; there are no per-room-type minimums.
  • DIAMO is the source of truth for minimum stay once it's on.

If you turn Minimum Stay off

  • DIAMO stops managing minimum stay but does not clear what it last sent — those values stay in ThinkReservations.
  • To effectively remove a minimum, set it to 1 night and save before turning the feature off.
